In July NTA (National Testing Agency) announced tentative exam schedule. In that UGCNET exam date mentioned was Dec 2 but the following is the final schedule of examinations and exam date changed to Dec 9th - 23rd.

Mode of examination: Computer based
Registration dates	1^st to 30^thSeptember 2018
Downloading of admit cards	19^th Nov 2018
Date of examinations	9^th to 23^rd Dec 2018
Date of announcing results	10^th Jan 2019
